Session Description
You're a handing a website off to a client. You've met all of the front-end requirements, and the client loves the site. Then, all of a sudden, the client has to start adding content to the site — and your phone doesn't stop ringing.
Or, you're the one technically-minded person in your organization (company, nonprofit, university department, etc.). No matter how many help documents you write showing people how to edit a block, put something on the front page, or what the "teaser break" is, everyone keeps just asking if you can do it for them.
Or, you're just really tired of watching people copy things from Word and blow up an entire page.
It's time for a backend built for content administrators — nontechnical users who are responsible for keeping the site up to date.
In this session, we'll explore ways to make regular tasks for content administrators easier — through quick tweaks, useful modules, and some longer-term strategic thinking about content workflow.
I'll present some of my own ideas and case studies, and also invite others to share their success stories.
